Much to my surprise the title of this CD is an actual warning label because the music is more of a mess than anything else. What you have is a lot of potential in the industrial and vinyl sampling genre of 80's electronic music, but very little direction. Every song sounds like it has no direction on where it should go. In other words you get the groove going and many times that groove is good, but the song just idles on that groove and doesn't step up to anything more. For example the one song I really like, Slaughterhouse, was released as a single that has a very strong and disturbing vibe to it thanks to the vocals that represent the rantings of a maniac about to go on a killing spree. The version on this CD drowns out those vocals by heavily distorting them with vocoder effects and by lowering the volume. So what you get is a pretty good groove and a lot of muttering that's hard to follow (thus making what was a killer single into just another song that doesn't do much).I would like to recommend this album and had high hopes when I first ordered it (hard to resist at the current low used price), but after listening I realized the reason behind that low price. If you want a CD that would give you some good ideas on putting together various sound bites and samples into an interesting industrial or techno groove then this would be a good reference. Other than that most of you would end up with the impression that it's a chore to listen to this CD all the way.
