The world famous Royal Philharmonic Orchestra at their very best on a second selection of memorable melodies selected from some of the greatest movie themes of recent years. Also available Volume 1 FABCD 233.
I love pop music, particularly music from movies, as played by major symphony orchestras. This cd, entitled "The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra Plays the Movies, 2" was no exception. I mainly bought it because of the song "It Must Have Been Love," the theme song for "Pretty Woman," starring Julia Roberts and Richard Gere. I first heard it sung by this female vocalist with the Swedish group Roxette. I wanted the vocal version but was not at all unhappy with the instrumental version. In fact, I have trying to collect many instrumental versions of '60s pop music as performed by various artists, but it's difficult to find them. Anyway, I don't think most listeners would be disappointed with how the Royal Philharmonic performs themes from motion pictures.
