I saw this movie on Netflix staying at my mom’s. I was delighted to get my own copy. A French movie..””Queen to Play” is it’s English title. A hard-working chambermaid at a boutique hotel on a “brave coast” in France is drawn into the game of chess thru unique circumstances at work. I’m not a chess player or even interested to learn.. but this movie is a gem on many levels. I won’t say much more except that our own Keven Kline is a main character. An American ex-pat who capably handles his many lines in French. Do ‘t worry.. the su -titles carry you along.. all the way.
