(Guitar Play-Along). The Guitar Play-Along Series will help you play your favorite songs quickly and easily! Just follow the tab, listen to the audio to hear how the guitar should sound, and then play along using the separate backing tracks. The melody and lyrics are also included in the book in case you want to sing, or to simply help you follow along. 7 songs: Angel of Death * Dead Skin Mask * Piece by Piece * Postmortem * Raining Blood * Seasons in the Abyss * South of Heaven. Audio is accessed online using the unique code inside the book and can be streamed or downloaded. The audio files include PLAYBACK+, a multi-functional audio player that allows you to slow down audio without changing pitch, set loop points, change keys, and pan left or right.
I bought this mostly to work on my right hand picking technique and speed. What better way than some Slayer? There's a great collection of some of their best known songs here, and the backing tracks are EXCELLENT!!! The songs are pretty moderate if you're able to seperate yourself from the high speed backing tracks and are able to focus on guitar playing. I'd recommend this for players who, A) Like Slayer B) Play metal C) Would like to work on their speed mechanics, right hand picking technique and like to kick it up a notch from regular practice. Great pick for shredders. I buy these play along books not usually so much to play exactly along note for note, but if that's what you do then the rating is based on those who would do that: note for note, no improvising.Difficulty: 9 Mostly difficult due to the sheer speed at which note changes come
